Ski season new rules

Staying safe is what it’s all about his year and the ski resorts are implementing new rules that you should be aware of. Here are a few:

  • On mountain, our vast outdoor setting makes physical distancing easy. But in the base areas and other locations where it is more difficult to do so, there will be signage and decals to ensure guests remain six feet apart.
  • Guests will be required to wear face coverings in certain areas. This includes in lines, when loading and unloading chairlifts,, in indoor resort facilities, and for activities such as mountain coasters. Employees will be required to wear face coverings at all times.
  • Capacity of lifts will be reduced to allow for physical distancing. Guests will only be allowed on lifts with travelers in their party.
  • Employees may limit the number of guests in any area of the resort to ensure proper physical distancing (e.g. parking lots, indoor facilities, common spaces, etc.).

Heavenly Valley Ski Resort’s (10 minutes away from the Black Bear) message:

With our Pass Holder reservation system, you can rest assured knowing you will have the space you need when you visit our resorts this winter. The reservation system is exclusive to Pass Holders through Dec. 7 and is now live. Lock in your Priority Reservation Days and early season skiing and riding. Excitement is high, and we anticipate our reservation system will be busy during these first few days.  To help you navigate our site on the busiest days, we’ve implemented an online waiting room.
Don’t feel like waiting? There is no need to rush to reserve your Priority Reservation Days. We designed this exclusive month-long booking window to accommodate our Pass Holders’ requests, and we are confident that you will be able to reserve your days for the core season before lift tickets go on sale Dec. 8.

Come have fun this winter! Links to reserving our cabin are in previous posts.
